USA Registered: Sep 1999 posted 07-03-1999 01:17 PM                     Some of the Simplex Millenium lens turret power transformers are failing. What the symptom is: dead turret motor. Problem traced to the power transformer being "open". DON'T THROW IT AWAY! You can fix it! Unwrap it a little bit and you'll find the real culprit: a thermal fuse that's opened up. Just cut it out and splice the wires together to bypass it. USA Registered: Sep 1999 posted 07-03-1999 06:12 PM                     The thermal fuse inside the transformer has been the main problem followed by PC board failures. Also be aware that some turret motors are AC and some are DC. Each type has a SIMILAR looking PC board. You must use the proper board with the proper motor type, i.e. DC control board with DC turret motor, etc. so be careful.  |  IP: Logged
