For those that want to repair their own DTS-6D power supplies, here is what I have found goes wrong: Symptom: Unit completely dead. Turning on power switch does absolutely nothing.Cause: Fuse FS-1 inside the power supply is blown (3 amp GMA style normal blow). The Radio shack replacement is part number 270-1054. Cure: Transistors Q1 and Q2 are shorted and must be replaced. These are both mounted on an aluminum heat sink. Both of them are the same part number: 2SC2625 which can be replaced by NTE/ECG 2308 or SK9131/2311 available at your local electronics supplier. Also check for shorted diodes, D14 (hidden under choke T-3) and D15. They are both # FR102 (ultra fast recovery types) and can be replaced by ECG 587 diodes (inexpensive). These instructions apply to the TOPOWER model TOP230USS power supply (230 watt) inside the DTS-6D.
Also, while you have the power supply apart, take a few minutes to clean out all the crud from the fan and make sure it spins freely. This power supply needs that cooling fan!
