If anyone is interested; The Fairlee Drive-in and motel is for Sale in Failee Vermont.I almost bought this last year. But I really don't want a motel. The drive-in holds 400 cars, new screen(within the last 6 years) old carbon arch machines,I forget brand;both radio sound and speakers. The motel has 12 units in great shape.Large back picture windows facing the screen with a speaker build into the walls of each unit so as customers can watch and here the show.NOT a porno theater, even though it sounds like it could be.They run general fare;and do very well! I saw this property and it's beautiful. Frank

I lived in Fairlee, VT for a year in 1972. It is a beautiful place.

It was one of the most miserable years of my life.

Ian if Fairlee Vermont is such a beautiful place;then why was living there for one year the worst year of your life?

I was moved accross the country against my will. I was 12 years old, which is a very emotional time in ones life. When I was finally doing well in school, I was put in a new school. The kids were a little zenaphobic and picked on me a little. My parents marriage was on the rocks. My mother had a great time. My step-father was miserable. We moved back to Denver the following year.

In truth, I did have some good times. I learned how to ski in VT. I fished and my Grandmother was able to visit us from NY that Cristmass.
If we had stayed, I am sure I would have adjusted, just fine.
