does anyone collect the old trailers after you recieve a movie? if so, id be willing to buy or trade a fight club trailer or two, preferably unopened. and also if anyone has as far back as pulp fiction, id love that one too. but i doubt anyone has that since its 6 years old.

I collect trailers. I have several hundred dating from the late '70s through the late '80s, a bunch from the early '90s (mostly arthouse titles), and pretty much every mainstream title released since 1996 or so. I do have Pulp Fiction (not for sale). I "might" have an extra Fight Club for trade, but it will take me a while to dig it out.

Collecting a trailer here and there as I believe most people would agree, is harmless. However let's please not turn this into the next Ebay print selling forum. There really are better web sites to be searching for an old movie preview. The last thing anyone here needs is to get threatening letters from studio lawyers like what happened on Ebay a while back.

we had a projectionist who stole a copy of every trailer that came out! even the lame ones.... right up until he got fired. not for stealing trailers though. i keep a reel of the coolest trailers around for late night viewing, big hit with the guys in the booth. latest additions were the cell teaser and patriot teaser. thinking about adding Bring it ON... yeah you know why

I've kept one of every unused trailer after the movie in question has already come out. Since Fox sent that threatening note with the first "Phantom Menace" trailers I was too scared NOT to send them back, so I just have that note in my trailer collection instead of that trailer

I have a rather random assortment of trailers, spanning over two years worth of releases. Some are opened, some are not. Some that are right up there on my 'fave' list: Magnolia, South Park, Les Miserables, Mask of Zorro, Gladiator, Highlander: Endgame, Dinosaur, Mulan,& Man In The Iron Mask (no, not because of Leo either! Good story, with four other excellent actors - Gabriel Byrne, John Malkovich, Gerrard Depardieu (sp?), and Jeremy Irons!)

I still have like four Fight Club trailers on a shelf in my booth-shows how often I clean off that shelf. They may not ask for them back specifically, but if you try to sell any Fox promo items, you'll find out pretty quick how protective they are of their materials.

I've seen photos of your trailers on Ebay and read how you get attached and enclosed trailers with prints which you just add on or whatever.

We occasionally get attached trailers but mostly they come individually, each one is in its own thick cardboard box (sometimes in a small film can) and is numbered. I should post a photo. We have to order what we want eg Gladiator x10, but sometimes they just send us a few they want screened. As far as I know the distributors keep fairly good track of their trailers and expect them back therefore the only ones I have ever got are ones the previous theatre has accidentally left on or ones we forgot to send back and were never chased up. You all should send me a trailer or two as my collection of 8 (after 10 years) looks pretty dismal.
