In effect Ex is the centre channel output of the cat 150 when it sees the left/right surround on its input
Though not accurate the SR135 will provide a centre rear channel
Oscar just think the dynaspan-fx

Don't do it!

The center channel of the matrix in the SR135 was not a steered channel, and you will get a lot of material in the rear surrounds that should not be there. The matrix action in the SR135 counted on raising the gain of the left and right channels when material was present on those channels which gave the effect of steering to the left or right. The center was basically unaffected in this steering action except that the center level would drop 3 db on a hard left or hard right signal because of the effect of the summing action.

If you want ex, use the SMART CS-3X or the Panastereo SP23. (Shameless plug)

Best regards,
