Brad, has anyone advertised that they use film guard as an added attraction to come see the movies at their theater? Such as putting it on their web page? I put it on mine, but then got to thinking. I then talked to a couple of my sort of regular customers wondering if they had noticed the film was cleaner and better looking.....duh....if they didn't notice it was dirty, they didn't notice it was cleaner. But *I* noticed, and I am the important person in the theater. (ahem...looking sheepish now) Just wondering.

Not to my knowledge. I think the only thing to date as far as advertising "print quality" is the Kodak ScreenCheck program. I don't think the typical "customers" would give a flip as to how the presentation was made good or what product enhanced it. If it is a great show, they will return.

Now projectionists on the other hand...

On the page for Mercyhurst, it does say, "We use FilmGuard on every run." but that's the extent of it. Most of the "advertising" I did was by word of mouth.

Yes, people who sit in the audience DO notice. I had one print that came in so late that I couldn't FilmGuard it in time. I actually found myself apologising to the people for it.

Of course, Mercyhurst is a special case because it's so small AND I used to have such close contact with the customers.

Bob,

I think that if noone noted that the film was very clean is a result.
At my theater none has come out saying "who's the projectionist? I would like to thanks him!" but I'm sure that many customers remembered my theater when they saw a poor presentation in another theater.

Bye
Antonio
