For those of you who will be in the LA area on Wednesday 15 NOV 2000, the Hollywood Section of the SMPTE will be having dinner and a tour/demo of the Fox Studios sound facilities. The program:

Dinner--Fox Studio Commissary
($18.00 US per person,
tax & tip included) 7:00 PM

Topic: A historical "Sound" walk, from the
1st "talkie" through digital production

Intros--Zanuck Screening Theater 8:00 PM
Group tours/demos--Post Facilities 8:15 PM
Cocktails/dessert--Scoring Stage 9:30 PM

RSVPs for dinner are needed by 5:00 PM, Tuesday 7 November (US election day). If you'd like to join us, email me for dinner reservations, driving directions and a parking pass.
