Since December is approaching again,
I like to see lyrics to projectionists
parodies of christmas tunes. I have
some lyrics to a parody of "Deck the Halls"
Deck the halls with platter brain wraps.
fa la la la laa la la la laa. Run features
until splices snap. fa la la la.....

It came upon a midnight clear.
The night had gotten so old.
With ushers bending near the floor
to pick up spilled popcorn cold.
Pizza on the seats, Good Will Hunting to men,
and Anna and the King!
The house in solemn stillness lay
to hear the ants and mice sing!

Ooh, that was so bad. I'll have to try again later.

Here's a worse one:

Reel-end Bells, Reel-end Bells,
Change-o-vers away!
Oh, what fun it is to mash,
that Zip-per switch all-day!!!

(peeeeeeeeeeeee-yew!)

"Arc Lamp Wonderland"

The bells ring
I gotta be listenin'
If I don't
The cues I'll be missin'

White snow is a sight
But a white screen is a fright
Working in an arc lamp wonderland

Haven't gone the way of xenon
Like the fun of runnin' carbon
Gotta stay on my toes
Or out my light goes
Working in an arc lamp wonderland

On the bench I don't build a big show
I just splice back on the tails and heads
But I say "What the heck, it's loads of fun
To see the dots, hit the switch and start to thread"

Later on I can rewind
But now I gotta trim in quick time
Or the audience I fear
Will be howling in my ear
Working in an arc lamp wonderland

On the bench I don't build a big show
I just check the film on the spool
It's lots of fun to run reel-to-reel man
'Cept when the last guy trashed the print, the fool!

A good changeover gives a real good feeling
But I burnt my finger on a carbon and the skin is peeling
But I say "What the hey, it's the projectionist's way"
Working in an arc lamp wonderland
