The ID on current print films is colored magenta on both Kodak and Fuji print stocks. Kodak now has a very complete ID number to track the exact film batch and equipment it was made on. The print-through from the negative will be light letters against a darker background, and vary in color depending upon how it was printed. Kodak camera films have "KeyKode" to aid film editing and cutting: Information About Kodak KeyKode Numbers Illustration of Kodak KeyKode Numbers ------------------ John P.
