It's getting a re-release! It is in the quest for AFI awards (Aussie Oscars) and the DVD release is soon, plus Fox want to get it to the 30 million-mark here so I am now going to call despatch and get my copy #270 back...unless Paul Cunningham has pinched it!

Come What May...

Bloody Hell! You sure are fast there, Greg! I somehow had the feeling you would be first cab off the rank.

Called up Fox today to make sure we get out print back (After checking our despatch records at the Ritz, it was copy 255, not 270 as I had thought it was).

It's all set to go for us and the best part is...no-one has used it since we sent it back! It opens next Thursday.

Bring it on...

John...

Yes, but not used does not mean properly quality inspected by a true minimum-wage earning certified print inspector.

Welcome to the world of 'I'm hooked'.

It happens to everyone eventually, some faster than others...but it does happen.

Recently had the pleasure of viewing this sensational movie at the oldest picture gardens in the world, with all of the old carbon arcs in the foyer...

I'm going to miss this one and the business it's done, sadly finishing tonight. Late run but the print received was well looked after, UK Deluxe copy 205.

Holy cow Batman, I thought I was nearly all alone with my absolute adoration of this film. I've seen it 10 times and am on the prerelease list for the DVD. A big screen re-release on the nearterm horizon is like an early Christmas present. It is a beautiful film to watch. I see new things with each viewing. Thank you Baz!!!

Moulin Rouge has entered the building!!!

Yes, lovely copy #255 has light going through it once more three times a day in glorious Dolby Digital (error rate 1) at the famous Randwick Ritz theatre.

And here's an offer EXCLUSIVE to Film-Tech members throughout the universe...

One FREE ticket (when another bought of equal value) to any one of you that turns up to see this pristine print (courtesy of Film Guard).

Come What May...

BTW, the AFI awards are on here tonight (Aussie Oscars) and this little gem is up for 12 awards. It does have some stiff local competition, but I hope it takes the lot. I still love it, so ner...
