We are just starting to put together an outline programme for next years Widescreen Weekend- 4 days of o/d ing on 70mm, Cinerama and scope! Not forgetting the beer and curry

If anyone out there wants to be updated on a fairly regular basis as to what we will be showing please send an e-mail directly to me r.vaughan@nmsi.ac.uk or Bill Lawrence w.lawrence@nmsi.ac.uk.

BTW please mention Film-Tech in your message.

And as usual we will soon start badgering you all to dig deep into your vaults to pull out those 70mm rarities that you would like to be shown to a couple of hundred of similar minded enthusiasts!

Thanks Thomas. I should have put that in. Senility advances more rapidly than I realised.

Dear Dick, it's the beer and the curry.

Is it in "Never Say Never Again" (presented in 70mm here and there) where James Bond have to go to Schrublands because he have had too much Martini and bread. So Mr. Bond suggest to M that he has to cut down on the bread.

Ian

We would love to see you here in Bradford. Perhaps you could hand carry the 70mm Patton print from LA.

Elsewhere on this wonderful site I enquired about the possiblility of other Cinerama restorations and several people kindly pointed out that Crest Labs were doing interesting work in this regard.

Do you have any related news Dick.

Hope to see you in March if not before.

Frank.

I will be at ShoWest March 4-8 then I will be flying from Las Vegas To San Francisco and not even leaving the airport, I will be changing planes to London. So no I am not interested in hand carrying Patton from LA to England. Besides, I am sure that one 70 mm print exceeds my baggage allowance by at least 4 reels. Good luck and all that.
