Now this is a very good question! As Richard says DTS Stereo has always been A-type. I was told some time back by a DTS insider that this was because DTS didn't want to get involved with any legal shootout down at the Double-D corral (you know, patents an' all). However it IS very confusing because traditionally, if a film has both Dolby Digital AND DTS then the analog track will always be SR. But if it has only DTS then it should (in theory) always be A-type. The big question is - has this changed in recent times, particularly since DTS developed their SR emulation scheme for the DTS-6AD? As far as I know it has not, but if it has changed, then surely the logo should be also changed to "DTS Stereo SR"? How about it young Karen? ------------------ Ray Derrick President/Chief Engineer Panalogic Corporation Sydney, Australia Phone: 61 (0)2 9894 6655 Fax: 61 (0)2 9894 6935
