O'kay folks, drum roll please...The winner is MIKE BLAKESLEY, with a correct guess of 63 screens showing EP2 Digitally on May 16th. There are 94 screens world-wide showing EP2 Digitally, but the pool was for North America (USA and Canada). Also, according to my rules, if there was a tie, the winner would be the person with the most lifetime posts on Film-Tech. So, an honorable mention for the correct guess (tie) goes to Joe Beres. Joe, I know you guessed the 63 first, but you had 231 lifetime posts, and Mike had 663 (at the time of the guess). And Chase Taylor came close with a guess of 64, and three others were close with a guess of 60 screens. I will cantact Mike and get him the box of swag. Also Mike, I may not get the box out to you until the first week of June... I'm wrapping up my work here at THX. My last day is this Monday the 20th, and I'll be starting my new position at Dolby Labs on June 3rd (after a little time with the wife and kids). Have no fear, you all will still be pestered by me here at Film-Tech, I'll just have a new e-mail address. More in June. Take care all, and may the force eternally with you. Yours, Ted Costas

Ted: Congratulations on your new job at Dolby Laboratories! I assume you will be involved in Dolby's Digital Cinema initiatives? Without you, who from Lucasfilm will "pester" us on Film-Tech? I have no hard feelings that you didn't meet my "goal" of 138 digital screens. I guessed it was Mr. Lucas' favorite number, next to 1138. Before you leave, don't forget to post the official tally of screens with film prints. ------------------ John P.
