Author Topic: How best to clean heads & tails Mark J. Marshall Film God Posts: 3188 From: New Castle, DE, USA Registered: Aug 2002 posted 09-27-2002 09:58 AM                    I'm wondering how folks out there go about cleaning up 35mm reels around the heads and tails. I have an acetate print that has excessive dirt on probably about the last 50 - 75 feet of film on the head and tail of each reel. The majority of each reel is relatively clean however, so it seems a waste to run the entire print through a film cleaner over and over until the ends are clean. I wanted to know if anyone here had any tricks they've used in the past.
