Author Topic: Putting a Jaxlite in a Bell & Howell? Ken Layton Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1452 From: Olympia, Wash. USA Registered: Sep 1999 posted 10-19-2002 09:18 AM                     I want to put a Jaxlite in my Bell & Howell 567 arc projectors. The standard Jaxlite is too tall to fit with the exciter lamp cover installed plus the red LED sits about 3/8" too high to shine into the slit lens. The BAK exciter lamp is much smaller than the lamps the Jaxlight is designed to replace. Unless USL is willing to construct a custom bulb (not very likely), you will probably need to remove the current BAK lamp socket assembly and replace it with one to fit the XLS-650 USL lamp. I believe there is room in the housing to do this.
