Hi there

Has anyone had any experience with installing SRD with rear projection. I have a number of theatres that have rear projection and am having trouble placing speakers to reproduce the sound efficiently. Any ideas.....

Two cinemas I know of have their speakers beneath the screens. Why not contact them for information and results.

The Brattle Theatre in Cambridge, MA. recently installed Dolby Stereo (no digital). They had previously been a mono house with two speakers, one on each side of the rear-projection screen. Now, they have three front speakers: left and right are to the left and right sides of the screen (obviously) and the center speaker is mounted above the screen and angled downward toward the audience. The subwoofer is mounted on the floor in front of the procenium. There is no surround channel. Sound quality is generally OK, but the room acoustics aren't great and most of what they show is mono anyway.
