Does anybody know here on what happened to the MAXIVISION 48 fps concept ?

I have read an appraisal about this technology by the CHASE MANHATTAN bank. It seemed very promising and closer to realisation. That this technology was palnned to become affordable around 10000 USD per unit and implement automatic backward compatibility while retaining permanent fixture to any existing projector around the mid 2003, has anyone learnt more about this technology lately ?
