When I started the other post on the original "AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS", I did it because I was interested in knowing what had become of that wonderful classic film. Beside the original film, there was another one that was made for television and I heard it was not very good. Like the television movie, this new version does not sound like it will measure up to Mike Todd's film. First of all, the first film had a great cast and a lot of cameos of many of Hollywood's best who are no longer with us today. The original film was wonderful with a beautiful music score by Victor Young, 30 fps- 65mm Todd photography and presented in 70mm in theatres. What more can you ask? I do not think the new film in my opinion will never be as good as the original no matter how much money is spent making it. I feel the amount they will spend remaking the movie should be spent restoring the original.

Yea right.....The remake of Gone With The Wind starts shooting in my back yard next week...... [Roll Eyes] . I also have an exact size replica of the Titanic under construction in my garage.
