I know that some old projectors were designed to take lenses smaller than the now standard 70.6mm. Are there any good modern lenses made in smaller diameters? The idea is to bore out a couple of eccentric bushes to mount them in, in order to centre the optical axis for running silent film on machines with standard 70.6mm mounts which cannot be moved.

Hi Stephen,

I've bought 62.5mm dia from SA in the past for the early three lens Vic 8 turrets that used two different diameter lens mounts.

The beauty of the VIc 8 turret was that they were already aligned for mag and were easily adjusted for silent film if required. You didn't need to use eccentric adaptors either as there was normally sufficent adjustement to cope.

Almost all ISCO lens can have the outer coller removed to allow use at 62.5mm mounting
Sankor also will provide on special order
