I am installing a set of Kelmar 6000' reel arms on my projector (Simplex X-L, RCA 9030 SH) and would like to use a readily-available V-belt on the takeup rather than a "Rounthane" belt. Any suggestions on which V-belt size would work?

Thanks!

Depends on the angle the arm is on, the position of the idler etc....
Simply take a piece of wire or rope and use it to measure the length required and take it to a hardware/automotive store. Some still have that old belt measuring device on the wall for old v-belts.
