Author Topic: Xenon bulb abbreviations Cory Isemann Jedi Master Film Handler Posts: 500 From: White Plains, MD, USA Registered: Jun 2004 posted 08-30-2004 08:36 AM                        After several unsuccessful attempts at trying to obtain a list from Sylvania Osram on abbreviations used on the XBO family of Xenons, I have compiled my own. If anyone knows of other suppliers abbreviations, or corrections on mine, do share! XBO = product family W = watts H = high pressure / horizontal? S = short OFR = Ozone free GS = gap shortened C = cable SHSC = super short TP = threaded pin CA = cable on anode base Example: so if the bulb says "XBO 2000 W/HS OFR", then you have a 2000 watt high pressure XBO bulb that's short and ozone free.  |  IP: Logged Andrew Shingleton Film Handler Posts: 63 From: Richmond, Victoria, Australia Registered: Feb 2004 posted 08-30-2004 09:33 AM                     The H means that the lamp is able to be mounted horizontally. I have the complete Osram list of codes at work... A few more that I could find that aren't covered here yet are: TT = Two threaded pins TC = Thread, cable SA = Short arc So along with BM, and an amendment to H, that list you originally posted is pretty complete.  |  IP: Logged
