I have a problem in one of my auditoriums with the CO dowser closing halfway in the middle of the show. It is an older model Simplex changeover on a Simplex 35 projector. The automation is an old Cinematic box with a cam timer. We do not put cues on the film so before the show I always check to make sure the timer is at 50 which is where it should be during the show. The automation is used for failsafe purposes only. The print running is The Longest Yard. Anyone have any ideas as to why the CO dowser is mysteriously closing halfway during the show?

Thanks,

Matt

If it is an older zipper it could be just vibrating shut

Maybe make sure you still have a spring and ball bearing.
