Our CP650 can be very odd sometimes. It will Dolby tone occasionally but most often it fails too. Ive tried cleaning the optics and rebooted the system but still fails. Sometimes after a show has been run you can dolby tone it.

Do you think something is out of alignment?.

I did adjust the digital current on the pre-amp and it worked fine but the video level reads red now.

Try increasing the power to the LED or if it is already maxed out, then you need to replace the LED with a new one.
