Author Topic: Scope lens not working any more? Ramin Hashemi Expert Film Handler Posts: 129 From: Houston TX Registered: Sep 2004 posted 02-10-2008 08:32 PM                     One of our Scope lenses suddenly can not be focused any more. Other than someone dropping it, could there be another reason for this happening? I tried adjusting the lens's location in the housing (and thus changing the distance), but that did not work. If so it could be you have a loose element in the lense and as it heats up the focus shifts.  |  IP: Logged John T. Is it clear? I once had a lens lose its seal and it fogged up. Be sure to check after it has been in use in case there is water vapor the turns to fog with the heat. Either the tech or myself have tried all these. I do think someone has dropped it, but can not be sure. Will have to send it in for repair I guess.
