HI All -

Does anyone have access to a CC 25U Christie power supply manual? It does not appear in the Film-Tech manuals. I have an electrical contractor who refuses to reinstall a pair because they have no UL label. These babies have coasted running 2K lamps for years. It's felt that a manual might convince them to leave well enough alone. Thanks

The manual won't help him much. The power supply is about the same drawing as any other Christie manual. Only the parts list is different. Use the CC-20.

I know for a fact that the Christie is UL Listed. Let him look it up at UL.

Better still, get another contractor that doesn't have this "problem." Louis

In truth...the Christie CCX-xxU supplies have gone in and out of UL depending on if Christie was selling enough to justify the UL expense. The UL sticker on that one was white with black lettering stuck on the lower-left corner of the power supply face (the side with the knob pointing towards you). Its UL listing was under 404B.

I do have a brochure that shows the rectifiers (including the CC25U) being UL listed...I doubt an electrician will accept a scanned brochure.

Louis is correct though...virtually all Christie rectifiers are identical except for the transformer and on the latter and larger rectifiers, the diodes are larger. Not much has changed in brute force rectifier technology over the years...especially not from Christie.
