I need to coordinate installation of 2 DTS 6-D units (newly refurbished) at a location in the South Bay on Thursday morning.

Does anyone have any recommendations on qualified service techs I can use?

How far is Hawthorne? Tony would be a good choice. (if available). If not, Clyde, Sam or Lonnie (if he's still around) are the three best people I know from the bay area.
good luck, Rick

To the best of my knowledge, Clyde is out of own in LA, Lonny lives in Boston these days, and I have a business to run, but thanks for thinking of me.

Who mentioned Hawthorne?

Richard, thanks for the endorsement but if Mike's sites are in Northern California they are at least 6 hours and 400 miles away so the travel time and mileage I would need to bill for would be prohibitive.

Sam, Richard is referring to where I live. [Smile] Which as you know is a bit of a drive from your area. [Wink]

Mike, Have you asked DTS if they have any techs or recommendations for the area? Karen was always very helpful when I needed anything.

Sam, I think Clyde is always out of town or country. I forgot about Lonny moving. I used to talk to him for hours every weekend when I was going through my divorce. I ended up falling out of touch with him.

Yes, sir. Clyde was in Qatar, but recommended another company (Harrah) that got it done.

Thanks for the help!

I'll keep that in mind for any future work. I wasn't quite sure if San Jose was too much of a jaunt from Petaluma for you.

Hi Mike:

"Harrah" as in Gerry Harrah of Harrah's Theatre Suipply in Hayward, CA?

He is a really good guy. He did work for a couple of theatres I worked in. He must be in his late 60's by now.

What theatre in the South Bay? Just curious.

Mike

Some of us are way old. Don't let my picture fool you; I age but my picture does not. Jerry Harrah is even older than me, but he uses better preservatives.

Sam, when was your picture taken? You look the same as the day I met you. I forget which year/trade show, but I think it was when you designed the 35mm analog penthouse reader for the Mega 8/70-35. Any way, you look the same in your pic as all the times I've seen you. [beer]

I`m so old my picture isnt posted and Jerry Harrah doesnt seem old to me. I remember him as a callow youth out of Spokane, who came to San Francisco to work in the purchasing dept of the old Fox West Coast circuit who were quite a player at that time. These days, nobody ever heard of them.
