Our Neumade MUT is on the fritz. I was breaking down a film last week and hit manual stop as a reel was finishing. The MUT quit working after that. The manual stop button has always been a little wonky. When you push it, it'll stop the platter, but sometimes you have to keep pushing it to get the light to turn green. I will press the button and it'll flick back and forth between red and green, but as soon as I turn the speed knob there's a little noise and the light stays red. Any suggestions to get it working again without calling a tech?

Bet if you can see how many wires goes to the switch, I bet you can find one at a motor shop to replace yourself instead of waiting for a tech to do this task.

sounds like a dual action switch where one leg has given out.

It wasn't powering up a while ago, so I found a loose wire from the fuse, which I reattached to the white terminal on the side. It then powered up, but it's still doing what it did before, and something is definitely overheating, as a smell emits while it's plugged in.
