Hello ,
I am interested to buy an used R2 can any one suggest me how about the analyzer. And can i use it with windows XP and how to get the software.
And Is there any link to read the manual of R2 analyzer to got know about the system usage.
Now i am using GOLDLINE DSP30 and updated my mic to TEF04.

The R-2 runs on DOS preferably 6.22. The D-2 runs under XP. Both get you the exact same result when they are THX calibrated. The laptop I run my R-2 with only has 6.22 on it and the R-2 program, it boots really fast.

Thanks for your reply and is there any manual fro reading the details of THX analyzer R2. And the seller said that it is used with Windows98.

You can certinaly use it with Win 98 if you close out to DOS. THX never reccomended using it in DOS window within Win 95 or 98 as it can become unstable and dropp off. The R-2 is also somewhat computer fussy and can be a bit unstable on some laptops. I am still using the same Toshiba laptop that I bought back when I bought the analyzer... doesn't take much computing power to run DOS! Best of luck finding a used unit, they are pretty scarce...

You could contact Tim Holmes at Acoust-X and see if he will send you a copy. Like most manuals... it's very basic stuff.

i still use my hp200lx palmtop with the r2 and it never crashes
the biggest issue is often with the serrial port
