I recently acquired a Kodak Pageant 250S 16mm film projector and upon first inspection it worked great. However, after about 20 to 30 minutes of use, the motor begins to slow down until it comes to a complete stop. As it slows down, it makes a noticeably loud clicking noise and when the motor stops, the clicking becomes a solid tone.

Does anybody here know what may be causing this problem? And perhaps even how to fix it?

Justin I have the same problem. [Frown] Glad I am not the only one, but wished there were some ways to fix it. [Frown]

I've seen threads on this topic before, and the reported cure was a motor transplant from a donor machine--apparently it's a bearing problem. I won't say this is truly common, but there were a number of guys chiming in with this problem on that thread. I'm guessing the motors may be interchangeable with the 126/256 machines which outwardly appear to be a 250s with an older style incandescent lamphouse vs the 250's halogen, but check to be sure. Good luck.
