The used print of Kung Fu Panda we received today had security stickers securing the reels. These are the type of stickers that when you peel them off, they leave behind words to indicate the seal has been broken. Although it was relatively easy to clean off, I find it annoying they would purposely use something that would leave a sticky residue on the film.

If somebody was going to bootleg that movie, they would have done it a couple of weeks ago when it opened. [Roll Eyes]

Those stickers are INSURANCE! The distrib wants to make sure no one will make a bootleg copy of that movie from a USED 35mm film print! Makes no difference that pristine bootlege master BluRay copies have been selling on street corners in New York for $3 a pop, $5 if you are a dumb tourist and don't have any street smarts.

That sticker insures that no one will be able to bootleg your print, Justin, and KUNG FU PANDA will be safe from those unscruplous projectionist pirates.
