One of the theatres I deal with has this Neumade
"Super-X" motorized rewind on their bench.
 -

As you can see here, the end of the shaft has broken off.
 -

They tell me that this is very annoying, not only because the film reels keep
flying off all over the booth when they're trying to make-up & break-down films; but
also because so many employees have gotten puncture wounds by bumping into the
sharp end of the broken shaft that the local clinic is running low on tetanus vaccine.

>Are parts still available for this thing?< I've done some searching with no luck.

"Plan B":
Are the shafts from an old Neumade hand-rewind interchangeable
with the shaft on the "Super - X"? They look almost the same:
 -
Even the mounting collar arrangement looks very similar.
Maybe I can swap one from an old hand rewind?

Any other bright ideas or parts sources, anyone?

Let it die or help it my advice. These are way more complex inside than you would expect.

I would put some shims under the front to keep the reels from walking off. They have little plastic caps for the shaft at ACE. Will help with the puncture wounds..
