I have an ORC 6000S lamphouse. It has the 2 rectangular pieces of UV glass by the douser. Can I use this in our Strong Super Highlight console? I know the Highlight uses the round filter but that doesn't matter as I can make it work with a frame.

I see no problem with that as long as the frame doesn't interfere with the dowser.

UV filters are not something that alters the focus of the light beam (they aren't supposed to alter the focus) so doing this should be fine.

At least the ORC filter will be used in a far superior lamphouse. [Big Grin]

Another thing I just thought of and this may not make any sense but I want to be sure. Why are the 2 pieces mounted at a 45 degree angle? Is it so it blocks it better where the 2 pieces meet as the light is not shooting straight onto the joint of the 2 pieces?

That was so that they reflect the energy at the side wall of the lamphouse where they had those two extra plates to act as a heat sink
