As much as Ron & I love working 16-hour days ... Also note that previous Imax experience is not necessarily required. The Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan (western suburb of Detroit) has an immediate opening for an Assistant IMAX Projectionist position.
Our theatre opened November 19, 1999. We are GT P3D with the QTRU & DTAC systems. Experience with those systems, especially DTAC, is preferred, but not necessarily essential for consideration.
Starting hourly wage is $12.00 per hour (no experience); higher wages will apply commensurate with experience. Flexible hours, but generally this position is for weekday afternoons/early evenings, as well as weekends, day & evening. This is a part-time position, 25-35 hours per week. Our show schedule is quite extensive at times with special event rentals, etc., so overtime pay (at time & a half) can occur frequently.
We are a large institution welcoming more than 1 million visitors per year from around the world. Our IMAX Theatre is one of the busiest theatres in the U.S., and we pride ourselves with providing the best possible IMAX & IMAX 3D experiences to our guests.
If you would like to be a part of our exciting and talented team of individuals, we welcome and encourage your response. All inquiries and questions regarding this position should be directed to Ron Bartsch, IMAX Theatre Projection Manager, and will be answered promptly. You may of course FAX a cover letter with resume if you wish. Thanks for your interest. Hope to hear from YOU soon!
