Well, I'm not exactly sure what protocol for this is, so pardon my candor.
I am seeking employment in and around the Savannah, Ga. area, since my most recent job shut down for renovations, for 8 months. I'm not seeking employment for just 8 months, just illustrating that the lay-off would be too long to just sit on my butt. Also, I'd like to use the opportunity to get back on track to the line of work I fell in love with the moment I walked into my first booth.
Ideally, I'd prefer something repairing/maintaining the projection equipment as well as running it. However, I can work as a manager/projectionist as well. My job at the Regal has given me around a year's management experience, and I have 4-5 years booth experience. I always endeavor to provide the audience with the best show I can with what I have. When I started at one of out local theatres, you could hear the projectors mechanics clearly at the screen, and the film was trashy and scratched by the end of the first day. When I left, you could only hear the normal purring of the projectors past the windows on a quiet scene (poor sound insulation), and the films were leaving our booth in like new condition. (You'd be amazed what a regular cleaning of projector and film some film guard will do)
I adapt readily, and am willing to learn new things, such as cross train on digital. I know the theater
