I won't call it theatre! And maybe this belongs in Film-Yak, but here goes.My house was built by a fellow who obviously was NOT an A/V nut (not even coax to the bedrooms . Even worse, it's on a slab with no basement. So now, I've been ordered, er, I mean, ASKED to move the ugly satellite cables inside the wall. So I've taken the baseboards off, and have found some room. But while I'm there, I might as well wire the house for surround to the bedrooms, dining etc. My question: What type of wire will support the latest and greatest? I'm thinking a shielded wire, but not sure how many conductors to drive 5,6 (or whatever it is now) channels and subs etc. Should I run a seperate line to each room? Also, very interested in these little units which let you use your remote anywhere, anyone have them? Thank you.
