The Man With No Name is back.

A really nice Technicolor print transferred to DVD made for really pleasurable viewing. Just seeing the real strong colors is enjoyable.

I found this movie had a bit more depth than A Fistful of Dollars though both are great films. The formula used in AFFOD is followed with the same eerie western style music as used in the original. the principal change to teh film is the addition of Lee Van Cleef to the mix who provides a contrast to Eastwood's character.

The emphasis is on action and less on dialogue. I kept finding myself entranced by the European scenery (Spain?). It is not quite Texas but close.

If you enjoyed the first film you should get the same enjoyment with interest. Really this is an artistic portrayal of western life with a slight european twist. Ths film does labour a little towards the end but overall the action and suspense keep the viewer enthralled.

My verdict: 90%

cheers Peter

PS Trvia Question: What was the name of the man with no name? No googling!
