I was planning to buy the DVD of the old sci-fi classic The Forbidden Planet but would like to know if the quality is good. Wasn't it originally mixed in Perspecta? What did they do out of this for the DVD release? Did some of you already experience it and how is the picture and sound quality?

I've had Forbidden Planet for some time. Is there a new release out? The one I have has sort of a cheesey box but I've no complaints about the transfer
