My Sony DVD has developed a C 13 00 error (as it is displayed on the console).

A Google search comes up with a hidden adjustment you can make. Has anyone here had this problem and made that adjustment? Was it successful?

My Sony DVP-S7700 uses the error code "C:13:00" for a dirty or otherwise unreadable disc.

C13 -- the disc is dirty.
C31 -- the disc is not inserted correctly.
Exx -- contact Sony, report the five digit error code.

Never heard about an "adjustment". Try the bad disc(s) in a different player.

I could almost always play a "C13" disc in another player.
