Author Topic: 70mm on Blu Ray Claude S. Ayakawa Film God Posts: 2738 From: Waipahu, Hawaii, USA Registered: Aug 2002 posted 07-06-2015 05:22 PM                        A considerable amount of 70mm movies have been released on Blu Ray but some of them were not made from their original 65mm elements such as 2001 A SPACE ODYSSEY. Ones that have that I got are just fantastic such as HELLO DOLLY, CLEOPATRA, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA and It's A MAD, MAD, MAD,MAD WONDERFUL WORLD. I just watched HELLO DOLLY the other night and it was like seeing it again in TODD-AO like when I first saw it in 70mm at the Cinerama Theatre in Honolulu. I watch my movies at home on a Samsung 46 inch screen and the picture quality on that set is just fantastic and I love that HDTV.
