Hi all! This is an amazing forum and I hope I'm not posting in the wrong place! I'm an independent digital colorist based in NY, I've got a home suite with a projector that I mostly just use as a home theater, and for supervised edits in the past but not for color yet. Really interested in this community because I feel like we on the post production end really don't link up with the theater and projection community enough. There's amazing information here.

So I've been looking around at second-hand options for a nice projector that can handle a good calibration. I recently got my hands on an old ProjectionDesign/Barco F30 VizSim with lens included to futz around with and see if it can give me a good Rec709. (I know people used to use these projectors to fake DCI, but don't really have intention of doing that with the great Rec709-P3 transform available)

Turns out it has red blinking Status light when it turns on! I took it to a repair guy here who quoted me $650 to repair the power supply (fans all working, despite the overheating code), which seems fair but was wondering since you guys are professionals if you had any recommendations for great projector repair in NYC, or happen to have experience with these older semi-industrial Barcos.
