Some questions I have is from where do these sites get their 3D programmes? Is it using basically a variation of the 3D technology used in D-Cinema? There is also some off-the-shelf content, mostly CGI animation, you can licence/purchase and adapt to your system. If anything, it's the other way around. 3D in Dcinema is a derivative of 3D in Special Venues. Most of the time, it's done with dual projection for 3D. For a good number of years now, you can also do single projection and use Infictec (the same used by Dolby) or Stereographics (the same used by RealD, who bought the company) 3D "technology" http://www.reald.com/Content/RealD-LP.aspx http://www.barco.com/VirtualReality/en/products/category.asp?catid=15 The first 3D special venue I did used two (Sony) CRT video projectors and dual (Sony, again) CRV's (similar to laserdiscs, like these http://www.kyoeisha.com/rentals/s_video/recplay/lvr3000.html).
