Hi All,

First post so please be gentle!!

I have a question for anyone using Dolby Digital servers with the Dolby 3D system: when you run 2D content, do you switch the players "playback mode" to 2D or simply use your 3D macro without the filter wheel in place?

The reason I ask is that up to today, everything that we've showed has been 3D. Now we're opening Transformers 2 on digital and are having some problems with our Kinoton DCP70L's picking up the cue to activate the 2D macro. I'm not really confident enough to investigate the macro for errors so it'd be much more convenient to leave the server in 3D mode and just drop out the filter wheel whenever we play a 2D movie.

Thanks in advance,
Cathal

You will need to change the playback mode to 2D on the Show Player.

Yes the player needs to be changed to 2D. You also need to push the macro button on the side of the projector for "2D Scope 2048x858" and that should take care of it for you.

The 3D macro's electronic masking , zoom, and among other things are different than 2D.
