Greetings,
I (and multiple tech support personnel) are trying to fix my broken NEC iS8-2k projector. They believe that the TI board is bad and it needs to be replaced. BUT, no one has this board. I was under the impression that the iS8 was the same as the NC800 with CineLink added. I am learning that the iS8 takes a different TI board than the NC800. The tech's that are working on the projector say they have NC800 boards available but not iS8. I don't distrust these guys, I just want to know if this is for sure accurate as I'm in a really bad spot here.

Anyone here have extensive NEC iS8-2k experience? Anyone have an iS8-2k just sitting around collecting dust they don't need anymore? As an older projector that is not DCI compliant surely someone must have one not being used. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

Well it turns out that the iS8-2K and the NC800 can use the same hardware. So we will be able to purchase the insanely expensive boards we need. Good to know.
