Author Topic: NEC iS8-2k and NC800 Trevor Cable Film Handler Posts: 22 From: Hillsboro, OR, USA Registered: Jan 2011 posted 02-15-2011 04:35 PM                     Greetings, I (and multiple tech support personnel) are trying to fix my broken NEC iS8-2k projector. They believe that the TI board is bad and it needs to be replaced. BUT, no one has this board. I was under the impression that the iS8 was the same as the NC800 with CineLink added. I am learning that the iS8 takes a different TI board than the NC800. The tech's that are working on the projector say they have NC800 boards available but not iS8. I don't distrust these guys, I just want to know if this is for sure accurate as I'm in a really bad spot here. Anyone here have extensive NEC iS8-2k experience? Anyone have an iS8-2k just sitting around collecting dust they don't need anymore? As an older projector that is not DCI compliant surely someone must have one not being used. Any thoughts on this?
