Hi Everyone,
We had a sound disortion problem due to the watermarking on Avengers which caused bad bottom end distorion and crakling until we got a soft ware upgrade from DOREMI

Could this have caused my QSC sub base amp to die ?

Cheers,

David

Did it work after the upgrade or fail during the audio mayhem?

If it seems to have been caused by the weird signals, they could have damaged the input stage by exceeding the common or differential mode limits of the input op-amp.

It's the same thing that we had since December with Alvin and the Chipmunks.

There is either a patch from Doremi to disable watermarking, or a firmware upgrade. The firmware is recommended, but only for certain types of dolphin boards. If you are not sure what kind of board you have and need a quick solution, better use the watermarking_off patch. You can then apply the firmware upgrade later when everything is sorted out.

You can receive the patch from Doremi support or your integrator. Some forum member may also help you out with it.
