Hello, Guys

As so often before, I hope You could give me a tip:
I'm running a beautiful looking DCP of "Lawrence of Arabia", but find the sound hopelessly "thin" and no way close to what I remember from the old 70mm prints. I tried the 50 years jubilee BluRay his morning with better sound than the DCP.
[Confused]
All other films just sound great on my two year old digital equipment, but my favourite of all disappoints me - namely after having read on the web, how happy other people are with this latest, restored reissue.
I heard about collegues beeing puzzeled over some special set-up, when "Sound of Music" should play DTS with six discrete tracks, but have not heard anyone mention any special gimmick about LoA on DCP.
Any advise, please ?

I run Dolby CP650, Dolby 200 Server.

Greetings from Denmark

We unfortunately made the same discovery - in fact, to my ears, even the SVA track on the 1988 35mm prints sounded better.

Unfortunately we didn't find any way around it though.

Thanks, Jock.
Disappointing, but a bit comfort though, that it is not only here...

That is very disappointing to hear. Wonder what the heck they did to the soundtrack?
