What its the rated lamp life on the NC800C? I can't find the manual for it at the moment and I need to know how long it's got left when it's put back into use.

The internal alarm goes off at 1900 hours. An error message comes up saying "error time lamp". Nothing happens though. You can keep running. After 2000 hours, it takes a few times to light. After 2100 hours it starts to go out every once in a while. This has been consistent on 2 machines over 2 years.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but wouldn't lamp life depend on the specific make/model of the bulb rather than the projector? And wouldn't the performance of a bulb over it's life depend on the same?

The NEC NC800C takes just one type of lamp, which is unique to that model of projector, or at least it was at the time the projector was installed, and I think it still is.

I would love to try a different type of lamp. Ushio is the only one I've been able to get. We have gone through about 6 lamps over 2 years. All have had exactly the same results and that's running the lamp power between 70 and 80 percent.
