My Christie One+ has been in service for all of 12 days during which time it's worked flawlessly. Immediately upon starting tonight's show the screen colors shifted way off and there was a pattern of cross-hatch symbols (like Chinese letters) over the entire image area. I received the error code "ICP Self Test Failed". The DLP self test also read "ICP Path Test Failed". During this time no white light would pass to the screen (white test patterns were magenta).

When the system was shut down (including the UPS) and rebooted, I received no such error messages and the image returned to normal for about ten minutes at which time the same problem occurred. The Chinese symbols and error messages are no longer there but the colors are completely off and I would describe the image as "not fully processed".

Does this sound like an ICP failure or might there be something else going on? There are no alarms or trouble lights showing.

Had a very similar thing happen with a new CP2210 after I installed the "enigma board" (Link Decrypter) had to reseat the ICP board and the problem cleared up.

Make sure you have the passwords to clear the tamper event and remarry if necessary before trying to reseat any cards. (They are needed for the 2210, I haven't encountered a Solaria One yet so not sure if the requirements for security are the same.)

Thanks, Tony. I reseated the ICP board, which was also recommended by the Christie Support Tech, along with reseating the DMD cables at the backplane. It didn't solve the problem so after reviewing the interrogator log, Christie is sending a new ICP. I'll advise after the install.

I've replaced the ICP, low voltage power supply, light engine, and finally the backplane which proved to be the culprit. Back in business, albeit with diminished confidence.

Oh, wow. What a mess. From what I've seen on the forum so far, the Solaria One is not the most solid machine Christie built so far.

I can only give my personal experience on it, but the only issue I've had with the three Solaria Ones we run here is I once had the playlist automatically start up again right after the end of a show and on one unit I get a weird issue where after deleting content or playlists the cursor appears on the touch panel and the unit stops responding to touch input.
