Digital could not happen without the loyal support of its many fans.

How many fans are in an NEC NC1200C? I think there are 10 but maybe those are only the ones that are tracked. Are there more?

I amuse myself by silly things like adding up how many fans it takes to put on a digital performance. With the recent notice of an 8th fan in the DSS-200 I think my count is up to 33 (plus one more seasonally within the rooftop A/C condenser). That includes three in the PC which I justify including as it's used for bookings, keys, and setup software. No library system or satellite gear though.

I'm a sucker for worthless stats as well.

I've figured recently about hard drives in this building...

This building just turned 10 years old. Just a baby yet. We opened with 12 functioning hard drives.

Today, and I'm not certain on this figure, but there are now AT LEAST 88.

Back in the film days I once tried to count up how many motors it takes to put on a movie. The projector and exhaust fan, one in each amp, then there is the popcorn machine, computers, HVAC, and the vacuum cleaner. I don't even remember the total. About a dozen more have been added since digital came in!

I counted up how many motors were in my car once too...quite a few in there too (engine, wiper, heater, starter, windows...)

The most loyal fans of digital are the studios, do they count in the total amount of blow? [Smile]
