Author Topic: cp650 ip port number? David E. Nedrow Master Film Handler Posts: 368 From: Columbus, OH, USA Registered: Oct 2008 posted 11-07-2014 07:57 PM                        Subject pretty much says it all. What is the port number for the ethernet port on a 650? I'm trying to configure my Christie IMB so that I can control the 650 via ethernet. They're on the same network, but the 650 doesn't respond when I use the test function on the IMB. As a final check, I did a telnet to port 61412 on the CP650's address. I got a connection without a problem. When I disconnected, the IMB was able to connect fine. Go figure. It can only handle ONE device at a time...so if something has the port open...then you can't get in. If the IMB is connected up keeps the port open (as some nasty devices do)...then if you try to get in... the CP650 will flip you off (it will actually tell you that someone else is using the port).  |  IP: Logged Dave Macaulay Film God Posts: 2321 From: Toronto, Canada Registered: Apr 2001 posted 11-09-2014 07:29 AM                     Doremi only keeps the port open during a message from what I've seen. And: how can a CP650 send out a "go away" message if it can't allow a connection? That is, will this work? fader_level=70\r\n or fader_level? where the first command sets the level, and the second command reads the level? THANKS!
