quote: Carsten Kurz Oops, mistook this for NTFS at first. It's weird that there is no solid ext support for a Unix based OS X. However, I have never found OS X ext performance as bad as you describe. If you use a VM-Ware image in OS X for DCP-inspect, you should be able to use the VM-Ware client OS' native ext support. It should be possible to mount an external drive natively in the VM-Ware Linux.
It depends, I don't recommend use third party enabler to read / write ext drive though OSX, sometimes they will corrupt the file system and makes the OS X can't read some DCP HDD again (I guess about the inode size problem).
VM-ware maybe is alternative way to fix this problem. I used Parallel with ubuntu, but I don't know why, I got slower speed to read some USB 3 HDD. Sometimes even can't read too. Finally, I need to use USB 2 cable will read properly.
